And so SKULL KING was born, viscous and uncompromising. He takes no prisoners. Like his father, he oozes brute force but is laced with the bite and guile of his mother to quench and fascinate. At 9.2% he is a Double IPA of extremes. Huge amounts of Citra, Columbus and Amarillo are added on mass at the end of the boil, so to extract huge amounts of flavour and aroma from some of America’s finest hop specimens. Skull King goes through multiple dry hop procedures adding layers of resin and tropical aromas to the stealth of this beast. The malt is kept simple this is all about creating the definitive dry, crisp body, a platform to let the oils and flavour’s of the hops take to the stage.
Sunshine gold in the glass, with upfront aromas of overripe mango and papaya. Juicy fruit on the palate backed up by a clean bitterness. Yes please.
