Description
Our Cascadian Dark Ale takes after its namesake the Verreaux's Eagle: it is black as night and packs a punch. This malt bill imparts notes of dark chocolate and coffee, the astringency of chicory, the spice of cassia and white pepper, rounding out with earth and a hint of tobacco.
All of this darkness provides the backbone upon which these old-school American Hops, Cascade, Centennial, and Amarillo, take flight. You will get bold aromas and flavors of dried mandarin peel, wallops of conifers, and a surprising waft of pink bubblegum on the beak.
From dirt to Bazooka Joe, this style is a work of colliding forces, but manages to fly high as a well balanced beauty.
