As winter wanes, the Irish look to celebrate with the roasty, dry, light-bodied elixir of their forefathers that has become a defining beverage of the Irish. One legend tells of an Englishman who constructed a true-to-style dry stout that his Irish bosses actually preferred to their own in a blind tasting. Dr. Wilkinson regularly and continually impressed his colleagues with his amazingly flavorful drink that had perfected all of the key characteristics of a true Irish stout. Horse & Dragon presents our version of this traditional celebratory style and we pay homage to Dr. Wilkinson with its name. Dark and roasty in taste yet smooth and light in mouthfeel, this drinkable stout is definitely a session worth undertaking! Slainte!
