Downstream Jam is a tart tug-of-war between ruby red raspberries and the benevolent bacteria lactobacillus. Prickly and floral, tangy with a touch of salt, Downstream Jam is a palatable reminder during these long wintery nights that there was a time when the far off buzz of cicadas played backup to the aroma a fresh mown grass and the sun shone past 5 o’clock. It was summer once. And it will be again.
