What is Cascara? Cascara is the dried skin of the coffee cherry after the seed (bean) is removed. With the help of our good friends at Fuego Coffee, we selected a special blend of Cascara from Nicaragua then added the freshly brewed Cascara tea to this beer prior to kegging. Enjoy the notes of rose hip, hibiscus, cherry, red current, mango and even tobacco that the Cascara brings. The Cascara is perfectly balanced on a slightly tart malt base with real sour cherry. While Cascara doesn’t taste like coffee, its tea does have a small amount of caffeine. This sour is brewed with love along with Pale and CaraAroma Malts; Crystal Hops; Lactobacillus.
